Hi Facebook,
Your Quest 2 Messenger app has a logout feature with a description along the lines of "if you share your device with friends of family, you can log out here and you will require your password to log back in", presumably as a security feature given the fact that people like to share their gaming devices.
However, all any nosey or malicious user needs to do to circumvent this is to simply click the Browser app, and browse to facebook.com, and they have FULL access to the owner's Facebook account and Messenger app -- no password challenge whatsoever. Additionally, they can log in, or create accounts on any site, anywhere, that supports Faceook login (oauth).
Can you please advise on how to secure the device in the way the Messenger app's description suggests is possible?
Thank you.
Regards,
terramex

Hi terramex, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. We take privacy concerns very seriously and we want your voice to be heard! If you are worried at all that your Facebook account could be compromised through our Oculus browser application, please let us know how we can do better here. We are always looking for ways to improve and, above all else, make our customers feel safe.
If you're worried about friends or family that you allow to use your device being nosey, guide them to adding their own Facebook account onto your Quest 2. They will be able to access all of your games and, as a bonus, have their own game progress saved onto their account. For instructions on how to do this, please check out this helpful article here.
We hope you found this information helpful. If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us through email or chat here. We'll see you in VR!

How do you sign out of messenger on the meta quest 3? There does not seem to be an option to do this

I second the Quest 3 messenger question. It looks like you have removed the option to logout from the settings tab and given no other option. It also logged into messenger with no password prompt. My kids use my headset and I do not want them seeing my conversations in the headset. This is a major security and privacy concern. How do I remove / log out of messenger on the headset?
