For the past couple weeks I have been having issues with lost tracking. I have tried all the tips I have found online such as cleaning the lenses, unpairing and repairing the controllers, adjusting the lights, and deleting then resetting the guardians but it doesn’t work. I can use the Oculus quest 2 for a few min (sometimes less, sometimes more) and then I get kicked out of game play due to last tracking. I have seen that many have had the same issues but I don’t see any reply’s with a fix. Anyone have other suggestions? The only thing I haven’t tried is factory reboot.

Agreed! I discovered some issues playing in a dark room. I though the sensors were largely infrared (not needing much or any light) but apparently better lighting makes a big difference. I don't know much (yet) about how the headset reads/recognizes it's surroundings but good lighting probably just makes good common sense. It definitely improved some of the tracking issues I had.

That still confuses me. I have a 40 inch TV that takes up half of the wall in my VR playspace, and it doensn't mess with tracking at all.

They can use infrared, but they still need a source of light. Infrared or otherwise. My Steam 1.0 base stations provide more then enough illumination to play even in the middle of the night with the lights off. But otherwise I need to turn on as many lights as I can to light up my play space (and ensure no moving shadows).

I also have this concern of loss of follow-up since the V28 something that I did not have since leaving the headphones I did everything factory reset, sensor cleaning, erase the guardian ... Nothing I did. even recently bought a Quest 2 128GB and I still have this problem the headset loses tracking so in the middle of a fight on Population One who is very nervous suddenly having a cut with 3 small point to say lost tracking is very frustrating and problematic, Oculus really needs to address this monitoring issue.

Same here, after recent update tracking failed! tried restart, factory reset, none works
