[MEGATHREAD - Known Issue] App Download/Install Speed

The last couple of days the PC Oculus App is downloading games terribly slow. No it’s not my internet, modem, router or my PC. I am speed testing at 1100mbps and every other download on other apps are downloading normal. This just started recently and was working fine a few days ago. What’s going on META?

download speeds were fast this morning. By noon it was back to 13 bytes/second. Unusably slow.

Also, now airlink stopped working.

Gave up at least until download speeds pick up. Bought Pop 1 on steam. Downloaded in less than a minute. Virtual Desktop works flawlessly.

Today meta support sent me an email asking me to check my wifi connection... PC is hard wired and still 5 b/s...

Either all these people (myself included) who have different computers on different networks with different suppliers and probably in different countries are 'doing it wrong' or there are issues with your store's capability of supplying the products it asserts to provide.

I'm gonna go with the latter and I expect the same high level of resolution that we're seeing with the Quest 3 Elite Strap with Battery support response 😂🤣

Please tell me you are kidding with this stock post.  Send us a screenshot of one of your team on an external network downloading from the pc app - any game, with speed.

I managed about 3gb of Asgards Wrath before my PC went to sleep (a few hours!).. and of course being a crappy meta app, it means it loses all progress and I have start again at 0%. Useless.

Download speeds seem to have improved tonight. Will see if continues to operate normally.
