The last couple of days the PC Oculus App is downloading games terribly slow. No it’s not my internet, modem, router or my PC. I am speed testing at 1100mbps and every other download on other apps are downloading normal. This just started recently and was working fine a few days ago. What’s going on META?

Yes, i tested it quickly with Arizona Sunshine and it downloaded 500 megs under a minute, which is acceptable.
According to the network usage, there is still somekind of throttling on Meta side (the download speed toggles), but it is now set to a level that can be used for actual downloads 🙂

I've just re-tested following someone else's post saying things had improved.
They have indeed improved. Although not getting up to maximum speed for my 600Mbps connection it did download at around the 300Mbs mark, which is a huge improvement.
Hopefully the tech team can improve this further over the coming days.

It is easy to complain, its a pain in the arse to remember to come here to say thank you 🙂 It seems a lot better (for me) so thank you for looking into it. Not sure how others are getting on but for me it is better (not quite there but easily bearable) 🙂

No. The way Meta behaves, there is no reason to thank them. I would be grateful if Meta would communicate openly. But Meta has not even admitted that the problem lies with them. On the contrary, we as users were kept busy with generic mails (switch off and on again, check wifi, reinstall,...).

This has been an issue for me for a while and its still an issue and i need help, my internet connection isnt the greatest but it shouldn't be THIS bad ive tried rebooting my router, factory resetting my headset, using both 2.4 and 5ghz wifi connections, staying in the headset while installing, turning off all other devices on the network, etc. My wifi is around 5-25Mb/s download and similar upload speeds but my quest takes hours to download even 1-2 gigabyte games let alone anything like asgard's wrath that is 31gbs...

Same problem here, most apps fail, even trying to install something as small as one of the home environments. Only a few apps manage to complete download and install, such as Virtual Desktop.
Download speed on Oculus app on pc is also slow, but does eventually get there.
No problem downloading from Steam etc

I can thank whoever I want, thanks 😊. I do agree though about the fobbing off and did say that in a previous comment. I just felt some positivity in response to improvement I saw (which sadly not everyone sees) was nice instead of alway sticking the knife in.

*Update - There has definitely been an improvement in download speeds, they are tolerable now. I hope this is the case for everyone that is having this issue!
I do applaud them for finally getting around to the issue but a month is a little ridiculous. I am still a little nervous to purchase games on the pc app.

I'm really happy to see this. I haven't heard an update yet but looks like they're still working on it!

It looks like things might be gradually improving. Anyone else seeing their speeds increase now?
