The last couple of days the PC Oculus App is downloading games terribly slow. No it’s not my internet, modem, router or my PC. I am speed testing at 1100mbps and every other download on other apps are downloading normal. This just started recently and was working fine a few days ago. What’s going on META?

[NOT AN ACTUAL SOLUTION, THIS IS MARKED FOR VISIBILITY]
Hey guys, are we still running into this speed issue or did anyone find a fix on their own? I'm collecting info to pass along to our engineering team. Anything helps!
EDIT 12/8:
This has been brought up to the engineering team! I'll be posting an update here as soon as I get more news from them. Thanks so much to everyone that contributed to this thread, all of the information shared definitely helps our team figure out how we can move forward!

I am not sure why you marked this as a solution… This is not a “solution” so please unmark it as a solution. People need to see how little attention this is receiving and you marking it as a solution is a cop out.

I have the same problem. In the time it took for me to get 200MB from Oculus I was able to redownload Overwatch 2. Guess I'm playing that instead.

It's relieving to know I'm not the only one with this issue. I had also downloaded various games and files and the speeds were far more normal in comparison to the PC app. Running speed tests show I have around 700mbps in terms of internet connection speeds as well.

Same - **bleep** is terribly slow. meta - fix your servers/bandwidth - you've cashed in more than enough to get ahold of this silly issue.

I have the exact same issue, that I reported 2 days ago when I noticed it.
So far I was exchanging emails with the support, who are constantly ignoring my proofs that the problem is not on my side. In their last reply they tried to convince me update my graphics card drivers...
I was also adviced to reinstall the Oculus app, which has the exact same issue.
The download speed constantly drops to near zero.
Monitoring the network traffic shows the problem (it constantly drops to 0 Kbps)
As far as I can see, the issues started a few days ago after Assassin's Creed VR has been released. I'm not a conspiration theory fan, but I have the feeling that they have bandwidth issues since then, and their quick solution is to limit access to big PC titles, which are 20+ Gb in size. Smaller titles around 6 gigs or smaller can be downloaded slower, but at a beareble speed.

Me too. D/L dropping sometimes to just b/s or low kb/s. 😞

Agreed - I hae the same problem, as do quite a few others on this forum. Their server management 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 know that this problem exists.

Same problem and no, it's not our internet, we're not even in the same country.
People have been reporting extremely slow download speeds from the PC app for days, how can this still be unsolved ??

Are you serious? What about this issue is resolved? I keep trying to download 20 gb of lone echo II and it seems like it will take weeks...? 100M in 1h, this feels like 1999!

Check what version you're on, you may need to factory reset and update or manually flash an update if it's not up to date. That's what worked for me. You also should also check if your quest is using 5ghz if it's not that could be what's slowing it down, you can sideload an app to force it or mess with your network settings.
