MSI Katana 15 B12VFK compatibility issue

Hello,

I just got a MSI Katana 15 B12VFK laptop since it would abundantly meet requirements for the Meta Air Link. However when connecting my Meta Quest 2, I get the message that it does not meet the 'updated' requirements.

Connecting though Air Link works fine, but for example,

  • I cannot view my desktop (it just shows black). When connecting a second screen through HDMI, I can see the desktop from that screen only.
  • It seems that games (like Titanic VR) runs less smooth that it could given the laptop specs, overall it runs fine, but occasionally it flickers.

Regarding the above, I have two questions:

  1. What is the exact laptop spec. that would not meet the 'updated' requirements?
  2. Could this be the reason for the laptop desktop showing black, or is there another solution you can think of for this issue.

Hello there, @Marcelve! We certainly want to ensure that you are able to enjoy the VR experience. For using the Quest link, we would recommend checking that the system does meet the requirements for Meta Quest Link. Ensure that the laptop is set to use the dedicated graphics card if available. We would also want to ensure that the laptop has the latest drivers installed, and if you still encounter any issues, please let us know so we may investigate further.
