Hi-I'm hoping someone can provide some insight into a couple of issues I need to understand and I hope this is the right forum to post to.
I bought a MQ3 via the Amazon refurb store. The unit is in excellent shape and is in premium condition. It arrived in the same condition as a new unit and was in the same sealed box meta provides for new units (including plasic protectors for lenses, etc.). At one point, I needed the serial number of the unit. When I came to the Meta site, it listed the serial number of this unit with a warranty expiration date of Dec 31, 1969. That seemed wierd, but I'm assuming this is just the way Meta records the warranties for refurbs with expired warranties. has anyone else had this experience with a refurb? More strangely, the serial number on the unit headset (under left strap) does not match the serial number on the box, which is the same as that provided by the unit to Meta. I'm not sure what that means. Any thoughts much appreciated!

Hi @Brians238 🙂
the serial number on the headset and the serial number on the box are never the same.
The serial number on the box is the number for the whole package... headset, left controller, right controller
But the headset and controller also have their own serial number... each one different
