I know this question has already been asked multiple times and I have looked at other posts and none of them helped or had an answer other than "reboot PC" or "update headset firmware".
I have owned a Meta Quest 2 headset for almost a year now and for the entire year I used it I have always had issues connecting to my PC using airlink. I paired my PC with my headset with the Meta Quest Link program and when I try to connect on my headset I either get an error messages saying it failed to connect or an infinite loading screen. The link cable also has issues connecting too and I have tried multiple different cables and steam link has too much latency and lag spikes to be usable.
What I have tried with my headset:
Restart when the issue happens (sometimes will temporarily fix it but it still occurs the next reboot)
Disable and re-enable air link in settings
Factory reset the headset
Update to the latest firmware
What I have tried on my PC:
Update Drivers
Reboot
Reinstall the link program
unpair my headset with the link program and repair
Enabled WIFI (I use ethernet)
tested different PCs (both have the same issues)
Disable USB power saving in advanced power plan
My PC Specs:
Intel core i9 13900KF
MSI Z790 Gaming Plus WIFI (Latest BIOS)
32GB DDR5 Ram 6000MHz
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070ti
Samsung 980 Pro Boot SSD (link software also installed on this SSD)
Meta Quest 2 128GB headset

@MasonatorGator55 Air Link can also be a little cranky to startup for me. I've always found it best to avoid playing any standalone games before jumping into Air Link. Also, I've found it better to launch Air Link but select the troubleshoot button beforehand. This will take you to the Link panel and I then wait for all the little items to refresh and go green before trying to launch Air Link. I'd guess I have at least a 80-90% success rate doing all that. I sometimes find that I need to go to the meta link pc app settings/beta tab and select the top option to restart the app. Then go through the same process. BTW, I rarely have any problems launching wired with Link.

I asked the support team about it and they were able to help me to get it working for now. I don't know if this is a permanent fix but I will keep trying it. For anyone wondering, I had to repair the meta link PC software.
