Meta Quest 2 Controllers won't pair

I hadn't used my Meta Quest 2 system for many months.  When I booted my system I believe it did some updating.  When finished, the controllers did not work.  I put in NEW batteries.  No success.  I tried to re-pair the controllers but when I put in the 5 digit code it says headset is paired to another account.  There is no other account and no one else has used the system.  This is the only account that I use.  I tried to pair through the headset using the controller buttons for left and right controllers but that did not work.  If I press the power and volume buttons, I can get this list of 5 options:

Boot Device

Device Info

Factory Reset

Sideload Update

Power Off

If I select Factory Reset, there are 2 options:  Yes, erase and factory reset OR No, Go Back.  The reset can't be selected.  No, Go Back is the default.  

While playing around with my system I was able to somehow get my fingers programmed to select certain buttons and icons on the headset, thought I am not able to scroll.  Not even sure what this is for, but I can see my hands and fingers in the headset which is kind of neat.

@jrfjr71  use the volume up/down button to scroll through the factory reset options and the power button to select factory reset.
