Meta Quest 2 - Left Controller wont pair properly

Hello, after not using my Meta Quest 2 for quite some time, I turned it back on.

Once it was turned back on, the left controller no longer worked; I only saw the SOS lights on the controller. I followed instructions on this forum to do the following. 

- Unpair and pair both remotes again. (Right remote works)
- Change batteries (Did not work).
- Factory Reset (Did not work).
- Every time I link the controller, it only shows the serial number, and there is no firmware version or battery level. 
- If I try to link the controller normally (Hold the buttons together), it will not link. To force it to link, I need to hold the buttons as I put the battery in; it then links as I can only see the serial number, and the controller continues not to work. 

I am currently stuck on the pairing screen and can't get past it.

I am not sure what else there is I can do to get this controller working, I am not interested in paying AU$119.99 to get a new controller for what seems to be a bug, hopefully someone from Meta can solve this issue, alternativly consumer protection in Australia should cover this. It is reasonable to think that if I have not physically damaged the remote, this remote should last longer than 2 years with very minimal use.
