Meta Quest 2 Stuck on Meta Logo

My sons meta quest 2 is stuck on the logo screen. I restarted it, updated it and it's still stuck.

He has games he has paid for with items in the games he has also paid for.  He can't go in and make sure it's backed up.  How to not lose all his data if I do a factory reset???

Hello there, @monkeymanmac. We want to ensure that all of our users get the most out of their VR experience. Having your headset stuck on the logo can definitely make it hard to enjoy some time in the VR world. Not to worry; we're here to help. With that being said, we wanted to ensure you that you would not lose any of your son's past purchases if you chose to do a factory reset. All of the games and apps that have been purchased will be available for redownload. Additionally, his progress may be lost if you cannot get in to enable the cloud backup, but all purchases will remain. Lastly, we would also like to share the steps to properly perform a factory reset:

 

To perform a factory reset using your phone:

 

  1. Open the Meta Quest app on your phone.
  2. Tap Menu then tap Devices.
  3. Tap the headset connected to your phone.
  4. Tap Headset Settings then tap Advanced Settings.
  5. Tap Factory Reset and then Reset.

To perform a factory reset using the headset:

 

  1. Turn off your headset.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
