Meta Quest 2 USB port melted and almost started a fire in my bedroom. I plugged it in to charge the battery because it was around 10% and about 30 minutes later i looked over and it was smoking and the entire room filled with a terrible smell. I couldn't get the cable out of the headset because it fused to the plug. I pulled the charger out of the wall socket but it was too late. The headset turned on but the battery was still at 10% then it died and now i cant charge it since the port is melted. This is maybe the 5th time i have charged the batteries siince i purchased it.
What do i do now? I cant find any recall on the quest 2 but it looks like this is a very common problem. There's hundreds of posts online with other peoples headsets charger port melting.
