When I turn on my oculus quest 2 it shows meta symbol then goes to a screen that shows a box symbol with an arrow pointing inside the box with a loading bar below that when the loading bar is full and gets done loading my oculus goes to a black screen until it dies and repeats the following I can get to the USB something update menu thingy and I go to device info and beside lock status or whatever it says it says locked I don't know if that is useful.

@all_depressed_here, thanks for bringing your issue to our forums. We appreciate the information that you have given us so far, and the troubleshooting that you have preformed. Have you tried letting the headset die and letting it boot up by itself? Also, is there any chance that you have been able to let the headset run an update? If not try setting a manual update. Ensure the headset is charged by allowing it to charge for at least 2 hours. Note the color of the LED on the side of the headset. If after charging for 2 hours, you see a red LED then let us know. If these steps don't help, please PM us for more information. You can reach us by selecting our name to get to our profile page, or click here. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us! I have exactly the same issue..

when I start the headset I first get the logo followed by a chip with a green bar below next I get the logo spinning for awhile then the logo becomes turning but screen goes black between each turn…

I have tried both factor reset and side load update without any luck…

did you problem get solved?

Hi support here are the answers to your question 😊

1. the headset worked perfectly two days before I posted.

2. the headset has not been dropped..

3. to do the factory reset I pushed and hold the power button and selected the factory reset option in the boot menu.. as the head set is unable to start up.

4 I have not had any issues with charging.

hope this helps

Yeah all you have to do is let the headset die and you will be fine.
