Hello i just installed the latest up date on my Quest 2. Now when i turn on headset the desktop flashes for a second then goes into pass though and can,t do anything from there. I have reboot several times tied casting etc. still the same problem. Hope theirs a fix I'm don't want to have to do a factory reset as last time it took a couple days to get apps and programs to work the way I had them before! just a pain in the butt. Thank You for any help

So, the only thing that got me out of passthrough was resetting the headset to factory. It has been fine since, but it's only been a day...

Hello @DARKHOURS2, We've noticed that you're having problems with Quest 2 staying in passthrough mode. We appreciate you giving us all of that information and informing us of the troubleshooting steps you have performed. To rule it out or see whether it fixes the problem, it would be ideal if we tried the factory reset.
Before you perform the factory reset make sure your cloud back up has been turned on to do so please follow these steps:
Keep in mind that while cloud backup is available to all developers, it's up to developers to decide whether to enable this feature for their app and what data is backed up.
After you have confirmed this is on you can follow these steps to perform a factory reset:

I am trying to set up quest 2 and having the same problem. Stuck in pass through. There is no clock. No settings menu.

Hey @CxtheMan! It's definitely no fun being stuck in a passthrough and not being able to use the headset. We'd like to take a closer look at this. Before we do so, have you tried the troubleshooting steps we've previously provided on this thread? If not, please attempt them and let us know how it goes!

No menu pops up and home button doesn't work Stuck in passthrough. A message screen flickers but disappears too quickly to read it. At same time the beginning of loading music starts and then cuts out. This happens over and over about every second. No damage, no new software. Spontaneously started happening. Solution?

Hey there, @Rose00457. We hope we can provide a solution for your issues regarding passthrough! We know it is important to be able to use your Quest 2 headset as more than just black and white filter for real life, so please review the following:
First, could you please load the boot menu? Just turn off the headset, then press and hole the volume down and power buttons at the same time for 3-4 seconds and let go. This will load the boot menu, just select the boot option to launch your headset from there.
Next, if you have double tap for passthrough enabled, please try double tapping the side of the headset to toggle passthrough off.
Lastly for now, if that does not help, ensure the headset is charged fully, and power up the headset without it on your head, and without covering the proximity sensor. After it boots and sits there for a minute or so, put it on and see if you are still stuck in passthrough.
If you continue to have issues, please reach back out and let us know! If you could provide information if any developer settings were changed, or if guardian / boundary settings were modified, that would help us look into this further. We look forward to hearing back from you soon!
