Meta Quest 3 Cable link issue after turning power off

MetaOculus1410

Hi,

I am having an issue with my Meta Quest 3 device.

When device is connected with PC via USB 3.0 cable and is turned off (power off, not a sleep mode) it will turned on for a few seconds and then turn off again. And it keeps doing until the cable is pulled out the device or PC.

When it happens, on my PC I have a sound played as when a new USB device is connected. In the Device manager a USB mass sotrage device will show for few seconds but with exclamation mark - it shows Code 10 error in the properties.

On Quest Device when is happend a blue meta logo is displayed and it dissapears after few seconds.

It looks like if the device was waken for some reason and then turned off.

Another symptom is that devices shows that the charging via USB is slow when turned on.

I was able to connect quest 3 with USB cable with Meta Quest Link. The connection was good. The test showed good connection. I was able to watch some movies and play games.

Best Regards

S

Hi there,

We would love to get this sorted out for you, as quickly as possible.

You can try the following steps, that could provide a solution for you.

  • Verify the facial interface is seated correctly and not blocking the proximity sensor
If using an unsupported third-party facial interface, remove it
  • Change the Auto-Sleep timer to anything longer than 15 seconds
If the sensor is turning itself on sometimes this may be enough to resolve the issue.
    To access the Auto-Sleep settings:
Access the universal menu by pressing the image.png Menu button on the right Touch controller.
Select the Quick Settings panel (the area with the clock) to view the device settings.
Click the Settings button in the upper right corner.
    Click the System tile.
Select the Power menu to access the Auto-Sleep setting.
  • Hard Reboot the headset
    1. Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound
    2. If the boot-up sound is not heard:
      1. Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
      2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
      3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

If you are still experiencing the issue then please Private Message us and we can look at further options.

Thanks.
