Wellp, I picked my headset up off of the floor from the headstrap and the little pin that holds the headstrap to the headset literally just snapped completely off of the headset. I can no longer use the headset. I've looked for straps that don't use the pin but can't find any. This seems to be a single point of failure for the Quest 3 and now that I'm reading the forums I see ALOT of people with the same problem. My headset is of course out of warranty...has anybody found a solution for this yet? I can't afford to spend another $500 on something that will just break again 😞

@packetsniper there are many elite and halo style headstraps that will work without the pin.

I fixed mine. It took me maybe 4-5 tries. All I did was stick the pin back in and hold it down with a finger. Then I took the black headrest thing and held it to the pin until it connected. Then I took a pair of pliers, and while still holding the pin down into the depression I squeezed with the pliers and it connected again.

My fix worked for a couple of weeks and then fell back out.

get some 4mm metal rod the same length as the width of the slot for the strap loop. Get two small rectangular plastic pieces 10mm x 7mm x 1mm with a hole drilled at one end. Slide the plates onto the rod and then slide the rod and plates into the strap loop slot. and glue the plates to each side of the strap loop slot.
