Hi,
I have been using the Quest 3 for working on some VR in UE5 using passthrough and I seem to be getting some lag. I noticed that on the Quest link app it said my PC didnt meet the minimum spec which cant be true.
Pc Spec:
Ryzen 9 7950x
128GB RAM
RTX 6000
What could be causing this?

Meta only check consumer GPUs and even then only very rarely. Your RTX6000 is a workstation GPU so the Meta app knows nothing about it and assumes it's incompatible. Maybe it'll work just fine but you may need to use SteamLink, Virtual Desktop or ALVR to find out. The drivers may not be optimised for VR though.

Hey there, @charles.OlaElectric! We just want to chime in and let you know that what @user_901925786032222 said is correct! It's possible that it may work, but it is not guaranteed, as it doesn't fall under our supported video cards. You can see all of the details for the Quest Link requirements here. We hope this information helps.

Thank you for the reply, I am slightly confused on why I would need steam link or a Virtual Desktop.

Hi, we would advise using Quest Link or Air Link if you do not wish to use Steam link or a Virtual Desktop.

Hi , I tried using both in a super simple VR scene with 1 cube using passthrough . It was so laggy I ended up seeing the black vignette around my vision where it couldnt keep up. If you are using workstation GPUs is the meta quest basically unusable for developing?

If Quest link couldn't confirm that your PC met the minimum requirements, I would advise looking for these possible errors :
We hope this helps, in case it doesn't feel free to contact us privately, we'll be looking forward to help you with more advanced options.

Steam Link and Virtual Desktop (plus ALVR for the adventurous) don't impose artificial compatibility barriers the way metas systems do. Lesser powerful (or compatible) GPUs may perform poorly or not at all, but those systems will at least let you try.

Hey again, @charles.OlaElectric. Just following up to see if you could provide us the information we asked for! We're looking forward to hearing back from you!
