Meta Quest 3 Right Controller Meta button not working

I just got my Meta Quest 3. My right controllers meta button is not working.

All others button "A" , button "B", Thumbstick, Forefinger button and middlefinger button are all working. Tried to reset & repair the controller and also replaced batteries. 

How do I know ? - As pressing all other button brings up a white light on the controller but not "Meta" button. Also I cannot use it to bring up the dock but with right hand gesture it works.

I tried to chat with support but it seems to be a generic bot. It understood the above question as "changing primary hands" 

I have also reached out to email support but if anyone has any ideas

I reached out to Meta Support on Whatsapp and did some troubleshooting. 

They approved and I received a replacement controller. I tested the new replacement controller they sent and it seems to be working fine.

I have the same issue. All of sudden the 'META' button stopped working/ responding. Other that 'META' all other buttons on right controller are working fine. Could you please help me with this ?

We understand that your Quest 3 right controller has some issues. We suggest you to clean your right controller, specifically the buttons, with compressed air. This may help to dislodge any small debris which may be stopping the button from working. 

 

After this, you can try out these steps: 

  • Remove unsupported third-party accessories that may affect button movement or controller detection. For example, controller covers, controller attachments, etc.
  • Remove the battery from the controller for 30 seconds. Try a new battery.
  • Unpair and pair the controller to the headset
