Hello all

I am buying a brand new, box still sealed, Meta Quest 3 this weekend.

Just wondering when I activate it and register it to my Meta account will I see the 12 months warranty somewhere on my account?

Hey there @Floyd2502!

As long as you're buying from a retailer, and not from somebody who bought it from a retailer, your warranty should start from the purchase date. You can check how long your warranty will last on the Limited Warranty page, as the length differs from country to country.

You can contact Customer Support after you've received your device and ask them to check the date for you, if you're unsure, using the device serial number

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need any other advice. 🍒

Hi @Floyd2502 🙂

log in to the website

https://www.meta.com/de/en/

Click on your profile in the top right corner.

On the following page, click on devices in the left bar.

You will see your headset(s) and the date until your warranty expires.

After you register your Quest, it may take several days for the date to appear, but of course the headset is immediately covered by the warranty.

Good afternoon

I have checked my profile again and my Quest 3 still says "Your device is not covered by an active warranty, or the warranty has expired".

I activated my brand new Quest 3 on Sunday 22 Sep 2024.

How long does this usually take before it shows my warranty

The serial number is [REDACTED]

It's not good, writing your serial number in a public forum, please delete the number @Floyd2502

You can send a PM @MetaQuestSupport if you are worried  about your warranty and give them your serial number.

Click on the name to visit their profile page, then click the blue "send a message" button.

I heard from peoples where it last more than a week until the date appears, so I would not worry too much.🙂
