I left my meta quest 3 controllers with battery for 3 months. A little bit of the fluid leaked from the battery onto the controller terminal. So, my both quest 3 controllers stopped working (No light showed up) even with newer battery. The battery corroded in the controller. Please help me to get back my controllers in working conditions.

Hi @mahi.pallinti if there's any corrosion on the terminals try and remove it to expose the metal terminal. You should be able to remove the corrosion and battery residue with a cotton bud moistened with vinegar. Don't use too much vinegar as it's an acid and can also cause corrosion. once the vinegar has evaporated, use a cotton bud to apply a small amount of oil or mineral oil (baby oil) or vaseline or similar to stop the corrosion reoccurring.

Hi there, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
If the new AA batteries that came with your Touch controller(s) leak or are not working, you should dispose of them by placing them in a non-permeable plastic bag, discarding them into the trash, and replacing them with another set of batteries.
If possible, please provide the expiry date from the battery label.
If you used the original batteries that came with your Touch controller(s), you can follow these instructions to clean the battery compartment of your controllers:
Once you have replaced your controller batteries, please follow these practices for best results:

One advantage of rechargeable batteries like NiMH is they don't leak and corrode when left in devices (unless extremely stressed) like regular cheap alkaline batteries do.
I had an alkaline battery in my HP Reverb G2 controller leak (the Reverb controllers are very voltage sensitive, they don't like NiMH). I was able to fix it using WD40 Contact Cleaner (NOT normal WD40, the Contact Cleaner is different). It's a non conductive cleaning spray that evaporates and leaves no residue. The controller works fine now.
