Brand new Meta Quest 3S stuck on USB update mode. Not sure what’s happened my son was on it before me, then I turned it off and it came up this usb update mode. Every option I click such as boot or update just takes me right back to this screen, I’ve contacted Meta. Anything I can do?
This exact same thing has happened to my sons! Received it today, tried setting it up and he’s experiencing the same issue. Not sure how to resolve it.
Little one got this from Santa and before I could pair it, I got a black screen that wouldn't go away. So I did the Factory Reset and that is when I got stuck in USB Mode Loop.
-I have tried using every option you can and it just always goes back to the USB Mode.
-I have drain the battery to try and charge it back up to full, and it will not power down when plugged in. It will also not show if the headset is charging or not.
-The Side Update that you can use to update it yourself doesn't work at all, it just goes back to USB Mode.
-Because it happen before I was able to pair it, I can't even use my phone to try and reset it.
I have ran through everything you could do besides trying ADB FastBoot it.
Going to just take it back tomorrow and hope to get a replacement and see if it happens again.
I don't know how they are going to fix it when you can't even access anything on the headset? I can't even tell if the wifi is working or not? and if I have no way to get the thing to update I believe it's just a broke.
After the update the meta Oculus starting trying to boot to the meta OS but jumped into the USB boot, it’s posible after the update the partition on the storage device that meta oculus use became unbootable and what is loading it’s just the bios on the main board . I still waiting for a solution.
I just went out and returned it, but the store only had one Quest 3 left in stock.
I don't know how they would have fixed it without having me send it back to them, and I didn't see anyone really have the problem with the Quest 3.
The Quest 3 has been working just fine.
I really hope that they get a fix out for it soon and I really do want to know what happen to cause all this?
