Hello, I've looked around and was finding some conflicting information regarding purchasing a Meta Quest 3 headset using a creator referral program link. I wanted to purchase one for a friend who has a Quest 2 and was wondering if they would receive the 60$ store credit upon activation even if they're not a new user. Sorry if I missed something obvious, and thank you in advance for your time!
However I did not receive the 60$ store credit and the feedback that I'm getting after contact with the Meta Store Support is that following requirements must be met (despite that none of these requirements is included in the Terms which apply for the Quest Creator Referral Program. Neither do the Quest Creator Referral Program Terms refer to the 'standard' referral program terms):
The recipient'sMetaaccount cannot already be associated with anyMetaQuest devices.
Older Oculus devices (such as the Oculus Quest 1) should not make a referral ineligible.
The referral recipient must register a newMetaQuest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, or Quest Pro.
The device must be new, not refurbished, and not previously registered to another account.
The system will automatically convert the referral credit to the currency used by theMetaQueststorefor the customer's location.
Both the referrer and the recipient must be at least 18 years old (19 in South Korea)
