Meta Quest Link closes and restarts every 5-20 minutes

This have been happening for 3 weeks now and I've updated/reinstalled everything that I can and nothing changed. Nothing but the Meta Quest Link is "crashing" the headset can be unplugged and it still happens. When I'm playing a game and it happens, the game is still running in the background ok but i cant just pop back in and need to close and restart the game so I can play for another 5-20 munities before meta link closes and restarts again.

Hello there, @trueSLOTH! We understand you have been experiencing an issue with crashes when using Quest Link. First thing we would want to check is if this still happens with other games or only with one specific game. From here there are some other things we would want to double check that may also help.

  • Check the cable being used is USB 3 plugged into the USB 3 port for the computer.
  • Try connecting to the link with a different USB cable to check if it may be an issue with the cable
  • Ensure Air Link is disabled within the settings on the headset.
  • Repair the Meta Quest application
  1. Go to https://www.meta.com/quest/setup and click Download software.
  2. Select Repair.
    1. If Windows asks you if you are sure you want to open this file, click Yes.
    2. If Windows Defender prompts Windows protected your PC, click More info, and then click Run anyway.
    3. If your antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable your AV and continue.
    4. Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software once you have completed the repair.
  3. Allow the repair process to run, download and install.
  4. Launch the Meta Quest PC app.

  • Install latest Meta Quest drivers
  1. Close the Meta Quest PC app.
  2. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command.
  3. Enter C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers. (File path may be different per user based on the install location)
  4. Open oculus-driver.
  5. Open the Meta Quest PC app and then try to connect your headset again.
  • Check for Selective Suspending
  1. Right-click the Start menu icon
  2. Click Power Options
  3. Click Additional Power Settings
  4. Click Change plan settings
  5. Click Change Advanced Power Settings
  6. Find USB Settings
  7. Make sure that Selective Suspend Setting is set to disabled

We would also want to try connecting through Air Link and see if the crashes still happen.
