Meta Quest Link is a virus

So I've been trying to get my oculus rift s working for MONTHS now. Always the error lost tracking of headset, even though I could see and move my head in vr perfectly, no problem with the headset. But my controllers would lock in place at my waist. I could move them directionally in vr, left, right, up, down, full wrist rotation in vr and could click and open steamvr, etc.

Also this is on a pc that has always said it doesn't meet the minimum requirements for vr, yet it worked fine for a few months, played blade and sorcery couple hours a day, walking dead, into the rift, no problems at all.

Then an update must have happened and it no longer worked. I tried everything. Someone even suggested a powered usb hub, though that did absolutely nothing.

I recently got a new pc that has over the recommended specs.  installed meta link and it said my new pc "Windows 11, i7 processor, 32g ram, and a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti" didn't meet the minimum requirements. It went away when I restarted meta link through the app under beta. I would be in the middle of setup, and my new pc would freeze entirely. Had to hard reboot multiple times before i gave up and uninstalled meta link.

Today I tried once again on my old pc. There was a firmware update, and the problem seemed to be gone. full movements of the controllers, no issue.

So I thought I would try again on my new pc. Installed meta link, couldn't get past setup. would repeatedly say usb error even though I tried every usb on the pc and powered hub. Eventually it worked. once. I got to pairing my controllers, and it would crash steam. I try reopening steam and it locks up, I can't even end task. I try closing meta link. Again can't even end task. I'm trying to go into control panel and uninstalled meta link. The control panel can't find any app or programs. I open nvidia settings. I can't load my drivers or anything.

Just now noticed my pc settings won't even load anymore. This all happened because I installed Meta quest link on my new pc. It literally trying to brick my new pc like some virus or ransomware or some **bleep**.

"edit": had to hard reboot my pc. upon restarting my keyboard wouldn't work. I was able to open settings and uninstall meta quest link (though it still labelled oculus in the .exe). It put up a fight and made my monitor flash and go black, like I was trying to perform an exorcism or something.

It's gone and now everything works again. except no vr for new pc which is the dumbest thing I think could happen with this.
