Meta Quest Link taking ages to start and connect to headset

Hello,

I can't believe I have to write this but here I am...

Anyway, since update v.76 of the Meta Quest Link desktop app, anytime I start the application it takes ages to start(2 minutes+), not only this but also connecting to link with a headset takes a lot of time.

 

With trial and error I found out that if "OVRServer" starts before I have an internet connection this problem occurs. If I restart OVRServer then start Meta Quest Link everything is fine and I can use it without Internet.

I often use link in places without network and this is really frustrating.

We would like for you to submit a bug report regarding this, this can either be done on the app by taking the following route:

  1. On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
  2. Tap Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
  3. Scroll down to Support, then tap Report an issue.
  4. Tap Report a problem, then type an explanation where prompted.
  5. Tap Send in the top right.

Alternatively this can be done through the headset by clicking the Meta/Oculus button five times fast, given that you are not able to play without a connection however, reporting this through the app would be ideal.
