The Meta Quest Pro headset is practically new. I have been using it to ADVERTISE Meta products and Virtual and Mixed Reality here in Brazil. We had a channel with 1 million followers on YouTube with about 10 THOUSAND Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality game videos, but the channel was PERMANENTLY BANNED due to the CENSORSHIP that happens in Brazil, we lost money, followers and content.
Coming back, everything was working PERFECTLY, but 2 days ago the headset updated and after booting, it updated the controls. It was restarted again, the left control appeared as connected but not tracked.
I unpaired the 2 controls. I did the factory reset 7 times. ONLY the right control paired. The left control does not complete pairing when it is pairing, a message appears instead: Headset connection lost.
I changed the Wi-Fi network security from WP3 to WP2 to WP to NO SECURITY.
I turned off 5G and connected to 2.4G. I changed 3 different routers.
I connected 2 different iPhones to pair.
I set up different networks for the iPhone and headset: Both on 5G, 2.4G, and then each one on different Ghz.
I can unpair and then pair the RIGHT controller, it works perfectly, Oculus X button, flashing red, 10 seconds, Oculus Y button and OK. The message Headset connection lost does not appear. I can play Beat Saber on the Headset, or Virtual Desktop, PCVR, Beat Saber on Steam, everything works and does not lose connection.
I can leave the right controller paired or unpaired, and try to pair the left controller. But, before completing, the HeadSet Connection Lost appears on the Meta App and does not pair.
Factory reset and PAIR right at the beginning WITHOUT CELL PHONE. Left DOES NOT PAIR, RIGHT PAIR.
System Version: 50436710071900330
Version: 69.0.0.576.352.641228209
Runtime Version: 69.0.0.570.355.641203395
OS Version: SQ3A.220605.009.A1
Right Controller Firmware: 1.43.1
Left Controller Firmware: unknown
Note:
1) I live in Brazil and have always actively created content for META. When we had 1 million followers on YouTube, we used 6 MetaQuest 2. Then we bought the Pro and sold all the other Quest 2s for financial reasons, we lost the channel and more than $150,000 in our YouTube account. And now the ONLY headset we have and that we take care of is defective due to a BUG on META UPDATE ERROR. What are we going to do?
...
Please, we ask URGENTLY for you to analyze the situation, I am available for a video call, to downgrade, to reset to another firmware, to do whatever is necessary, it is just not fair that I suffer the consequences of losing one or two controls due to a META update error, which requires us to do the updates.

Sounds like a very frustrating situation. We understand how you must be feeling to go through all that troubleshooting and still be unable to pair your left controller.

Ok I'm still waiting for the solution. I've still got no valid response at all.

I have same problem, along with handtracking as well as tracked keyboard malfuncusioning. sometimes, during using vd with tracked keyboard, it just can't show passythrough somehow, I lock screen, wait for about 30s, and then unlock headset, then it might work again(30%), or completely dead out, where the controller work inside vd, but can't interact with meta ui, I think they called it "quick action memu" or "shellenv".(if you look down now, you might find the avatar stacked, with both hands laydown, also sometimes the hand shadow stacked somewhere just like lagging or lost internet connection) Then I try to factory reset quest3, here comes just what you told, left controller is missed. I reset it time for time, hoping fix it, but both controller missed one time, but I wait for about 20min(because I can't interact with wifi passwords input, the process just don't work), the headset then told me you need to hold "meta" and "B" together for 4s for right controller to pair, and then"menu" and "Y"(i think, i am in bed with only right one now). You can try to wait for some time after reset. And NOTICE HERE, after your both controller work again, go setting, close anything about hantracking and bodytrackings stuff. The problem will not happen again(but no hand and keyboard for now). I guss they are fixing this tracking bug now, somehow makes it unsteable. bty, I havem73800510 system, 69.0.0.576.352.641228209. Not a solution here, but let you know you are not alone, guess we can just wait for OTA update fix.

Hey my friend, thank you very much. I've seen this kind of problem all over the internet. And sometimes others users report that it happens to go back to work again, others don't. My headset is a Meta Pro and everything was working perfect... until last update. The headset updated and rebooted. Then the right controller updated, then it was supposed that the left controller was also updated. Then I rebooted the headset. Both controllers were paired, but left one the buttons were working but tracking nomore. I rebooted and factory installed I think 10 times. Then I read somewhere to unpair both controllers. And now only the right one pairs. The left controller keeps blinking wite and purple. I turned it off and on 20 times. I turned it on with menu + X to "reinstall" factory firmware on left but it don't. Tryed to pair it manually using the META app holding Menu + Y and something very interesting happens. On the iPhone app, it almost gets success, after a couple of seconds, it displays an error on the iphone screen saying "Your headset was disconnected". And I also tryed to pair just after factory reset, without the meta app, as soon as the headset starts, the first one to try is left, tried 50 times, I have to skip and then it asks to pair the right controller and it gets success. So, it doesn't matter if I try to pair just after factory reset, or using the META app, with the other controller paired or not, with or without hand tracking, with different network connections, 2.4GHz or 5GHz, what I can say is META had a faulty update and it broke my left controller... And I think no one at META really cares what is going on. Just to let you know, I think it happened on purpose, I live in Miami, but when I updated, I was in Brazil, and the first thing META told me is THERE IS NO SUPPORT in Brazil. Now I'm back in Miami and they don't know how to deal with this. This is very serious, when you update your stuff, propably there is a vicious code to check where are you updating from or if it is still in warranty... And then Boom!

Hey there, @BeatrizBrazil!
I'm sorry to hear you didn't receive a good experience when trying to get your controllers fixed.
I've sent a ping to the team that was handling your case so they should be getting back in touch soon 🙂
They'll be able to look into it a bit further and see how we can help with you being in Miami now.

Hey there, @HZM70907 and welcome to the community forums!
I've removed a bit of that post just to ensure it is in line with forum rules. Let's make sure we stay on topic as possible to avoid us falling into a politics/economics thread 🙈
I think that sums things up very nicely, "we are all part of the community, and we all want it to be better." One way to ensure this is to not be shy about any ideas, feedback, or improvements you think Meta should take on board. That's why we have the Ideas Forum for that very reason 😊
