Meta Quest Remote Desktop Login Loop Windows 10

Hello Everyone!

I have been trying to get Meta Quest Remote Desktop to work for my windows 10 pc for a while now and noticed many people seem to have the same problem as me but no solution. I currently can get it to work on my Microsoft Surface Pro 7 on windows 11 but really want it to work on my other pc.

My issue is I open the app, it asks to login, edge takes me to the login page. I log in. It appears to connect similarly to what it looks like on my surface, but then after a few seconds asks me to login again. I've tried a ton of things to get this to work but no luck (used firefox browser, uninstalled app, uninstalled oculus app, disabled all firewalls, changed monitor resolution, ect)! Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone! I heard back from our teams, and it looks like the issue should now be resolved, and you should be able to log into the desktop app now. If you're still having trouble logging in, I recommend creating a support ticket to provide logs for your computer, as this can help our engineering team look into this issue further. I hope this information helps!

Hi, I'm also having the same problem on two different computers, both on Mac Os Catalina 10.15.7 and Windows 11, is it possible to fix it?
Thank you

Hey, @carlointotaro, thanks for letting us know about your troubles with PCVR. We want to give you some information about PCVR capabilities and what might be holding you back from using the feature to its fullest capacity. First, you must have the PC capabilities listed on our website here. Macs and Macbooks do not have the capabilities for PCVR; however, you might be able to share pictures from the Quest to the computer but wouldn't be able to experience PCVR to its fullest. We hope the page on our website helps guide you in the right direction.

Hey there @DrSwarm! We hate to hear that you're experiencing this issue, so let's work together to get this resolved as soon as possible!

You can start with a few best practices for using Meta Quest Remote Desktop:

  • Make sure your headset and computer are on the same network.
  • Connect your headset to Wi-Fi via 5GHz band, if available.
  • Have your router in the same room as your headset or in line-of-sight, and at least 3 feet (1 meter) off the ground.
  • Ensure your router's software is up to date.
  • Check your computer's firewall settings.
  • Close other apps or programs that are using your network.
  • Reboot your router.

Let us know if that does the trick!
