Meta Quest update button not doing anything after PTC V66

Im on ptc v66 and I got the update for the official rollout of v66. When I click update the download progress pops up for a second and goes away. The button to update is greyed out and stuck “updating…” I’ve let it sit for quite a while. Reset several times and nothing. If you leave update and go back it has the option to update now again. Resets do nothing

I did this and it seems to work for me too but now I'm on 66v

I’m wondering if it has something to do with the sidequest presence or the developer mode….

do you have sidequest installed?

Seems that the problem is fixed, new update file over 1gb instead of 7.6 mb, installed without issues.

New passthrough working, media bar controls working. No option to hide apps or  to put headset in standby on shutdown menu but that's usual for staggered rollouts anyway, although as this is the full release and highlighted in the release notes, I hope the hide apps option isn't held back for everyone for long or you'll have a whole lot of new complaints 😛

ATTENTION:  THIS IS NOW NORMAL BEHAVOR WITH V66.... DO NOT DO FACTORY RESET TO TRY TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE AS IT WILL MAKE THINGS WORSE.

If your on v65 just wait a bit, V66 PTC is bad and not the same release and the standard V66 IS BRICKING QUEST 3!!!!!!! 

I managed to soft brick one and almost brick the other.  BTW the first soft brick was going from v66 PTC to v66 standard.  Second was on a BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX quest 3.  I got lucky and it was still booting to the update screen in the software rather than the updated screen in the firmware which allowed the quest to revert to v65 after a few hours. 

BE PATIENT>>> V66 is broken at the moment, they are aparently fixing it according to the above posts. 

SECOND WARNING:  DO NOT GO TO THE PTC VERSION TO GET V66 YET.  We on the PTC versions have noticed missing features once you go to the PTC.  Problem is those features never come back even after major updates.  USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

yeah i did have sidequest when i did factory reset, but i mean it did not do anything
