Meta app keeps showing error message when trying to use

Hi, my son is getting a message on his meta Quest 2 saying  'VR metacam quest keeps stopping'  message with the option to close app or app info. No matter which he choses the screen goes grey and it shuts down. On a few occasions the message:  com.oculus,identitymanagement.service.IMSApplic...keepsstopping  comes up but again the screen goes grey and blank. 

we just tried to factory reset and once the headset powers back on the message reappears. 

Can anyone please help or give suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance
