I have been locked out of my meta quest 2 for about a year because I no longer have access to the email account I used when I first used it. Now I am trying to log in online using my device's serial number to verify me instead of the email account. But when I type in the serial number as shown inside the controllers, it says serial number not recognized. I have even tried to look in the meta horizon app and can see my device is connected but no serial number is listed. Please help.
Probably an over-obvious question, but have you tried the serial number on the headset itself? That's different from the controller serial numbers and probably the important one.
that's the weird thing. my headset doesn't have a serial number, the only ones are on the controllers. yes i've looked inside the headset arm but it's completely blank
The Quest 2 has the serial number on the outside of a headset arm
If you still have the original headsrap on your Quest you have to pull it. The serial number is hidden beyond the headstrap arm.
