Meta. I've seen your comments. Saying that you don't update the gear and that over time functionality of these products break with out updates. But you can not in anyway shape or form.
DISCONTINUING A PRODUCT. DOES NOT MEAN IT BECOMES UN USEABLE! THE 3DS AND WII U. XBOX 360 PS3. ALL OF THESE AND MORE. THERE DISCONTINUED. BUT THEY STILL WORK. YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO USE THEM ONLINE. BUT THEY STILL WORK! ALL IT TAKES IS EITHER MAKING META ACCOUNTS WORK OR REMOVING THE LOGIN ENTIRELY. ITS NOT THAT HARD. FIX YOUR MISTAKES AND STOP LYING ABOUT THEM!

Gear VR like the Oculus Go, and soon to be Quest 1, are done and dusted. No tech lasts forever. Time to move on mate, lol!

All of these can still play games and can still be used. Even if they have had some online functions shut down. They still work. And that's the problem. The gear vr. Is in no form of a useable state. As a said. Discontinuing a product. Does not render it a useless paper weight. Meta needs to make a good choice for once and fix this. Make the gear vr a useable product. Like how discontinuations supposed to work!
@Shadow_dragon_2579 Ya, if longevity is important buy a console with cartridges. Even my +17yo N64 still actually works ok. Comparing those to VR devices is pretty silly imho. Anyway, please feel free to rant, lol!
Edit; Maybe call the better business bureau on your bricked Microsoft Windows smartphone and complain about all this, lol!
