Meta please finally fix your Paypal mess !

It is now over two years that Meta makes people run in circles while pushing them to use credit cards.
For how much longer is this nonsense and ignorance supposed to continue until we get working Paypal accounts in the Metaverse ???

The support keeps marking threads here as SOLVED while year after year failing to actually solve the problem.
Making a thread with a problem as solved while it is not solved is fraudulent and stating people should create a support ticket is insulting as the Meta support is CLUELESS and unwilling to provide a fix.

I'm sorry that you have problems.

I admit there a recently problems with adding payment methods for some user and hope this will be solved soon.

But that is nothing about specially Paypal.
I'm using Paypal since more than 4 years to buy in Meta store....works without issues.

Not only do they patronise people with bull**** replies, they moved my thread and marked that as a solution when the problem still exists. I am now seeing they also fragment threads to seperate them from the mainstream to make them look more innocuous to forums users.

The  replies I have been getting range from :- You need to use a different browser, you need to check with your bank that your credit card is valid ( I used a mastercard linked to my paypal acc), to ensure that I have no paypal restrictions, you need to link a valid paypal account (WTF), maybe this form of patronising users is Meta's way of saying GO AWAY!. And yes after they moved my thread it was LISTED AS A SOLUTION.

Nothing as of yet has been solved, I had to link a credit card to my Meta Store account, this means that I now have less protection than I would have had with Paypal. I am now that disillusioned with Meta VR I have used it once in 4 weeks and I have only purchased one game since I linked a credit card direct to my Meta account. I HAVE PURCHASED A BOAT ANCHOR. When I purchased my first and only game they also installed "whats app" without my permission which I promptly binned. Mr zuckerberg can shove this sort stuff where I think it would fit quite good. I almost forgot to say, my forum responses have been moved to private replies, this was marked as the solution

@ Bludnut: We are all in the same boat it seems - ignored and punished by the Meta support team.
And it is not just payment methods treated this way...

There is a ton of outdated appds and games in store and users keep finding out that they paid a lot of money only to see advertised features NOT working - for years not working because there are no updates.
You won't get a refund though, won't get any help - contact the developer Meta says, great advise if the developer no longer support the platform and title.
Same story for the hardware rip off - you get a new headset that is more of a torture device on your head and the 'fix' is to pay a ton of money for a slightly more comfortable headband.
The entire support system seems to be aiming to make the company look good but not to provide any meaningful support....

Hi Grumpy, missed this one, yes we are in the same boat, quite a lot of us too. My quest 3 is now up for sale, after all the lies and public dumbing I have seen and been involved in now makes me see I dont need to use VR with this company. I am going to be patient and wait for a better caring company and product.

Yes I also got sucked in by support taking me to a private link then marking my public thread as solved.
