Recently I’ve noticed my UI is now a gray color unlike the old dark but colorful fade. Also it seems like the ui is janky and not properly working. Like in the picture the pattern dots are covering the button which is obviously not something meta would do. Additionally, sometimes when I drag the dots, it’s at a really low frame rate and looks terrible. Not software updates are appearing and everything works fine but it’s really bugging me. The control panel UI is also similar.
Another thing that I don’t know is if it’s related or not but whenever I press power off in the power options list when I hold the button briefly, it says something like “installing updates, keep connected into WiFi and charger” but nothing happens. It stopped eventually and nothing changed but it’s another weird thing I thought I might mention.

Same here. Mine also changed to this dull grey scale UI over the weekend. I'd like my usual blue buttons back, please

Hi there,
Thank you for getting in touch with Meta Quest Support!
We appreciate that UI issues are very frustrating, so in this case, we recommend a hard-reboot by holding down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound.
If the boot-up sound is not heard; hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset, and use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button, and finally, use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

Hey there,
Just checking in to see if you still need a hand?

I feel like I may have tried that but I’m not entirely sure so I’ll do it when I get home.

No problem, let us know how it goes!

Well, as it turns out, I think the dull greyscale UI that I am complaining about is just the way that the v74 update unfortunately looks. I tried the hard reset steps and even did so through the debug menu. I noticed my last update received was March 14th, which coincides with when this started. I guess the short answer from me is "I like the previous UI better". Oh well.
I think Froggster still has a concern with the dots mentioned in the original post, though. I never saw those on my setup
Thanks
