My meta quest 2 I got on Christmas 2023 worked fine till now when I play a game I recorded my voice and very rarely my microphone will produce heavy static other times it just does nothing no sound at all

I have tried factory resetting, boot devicing, restarting the headset, turning on and off the microphone, plugging it into my pc and turning on and off the microphone, and just using pcvr for the microphone. Nothing works.

Thank you for providing all the troubleshooting steps you have attempted, @OculusDoggos. Before we go further into this issue, we have a few more troubleshooting steps we can provide for you. Please remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may block the microphone (such as a third-party facial interface, etc.). Test with multiple games/apps; if it's only happening in one game/app, check the game/app permission to make sure the microphone is enabled.
You can also reset the microphone: Settings > System > Sounds > Toggle Microphone
