Meta quest 3 poorly flawed strap

I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of the Meta Quest 3. It feels like it’s made with cheap materials and poorly designed components. The left speaker arm snapped, along with the wire, which seems to be a result of these subpar parts. The housing holding this together is extremely frail. I was definitely not expecting such a fragile device, especially considering the price.

Had it for about 7 months, 😤

material issues like that are usually covered by warranty.

Your warranty period hasn't expired, so either open a support ticket here:

I got offer a resolution to simply buy another one . Fantastic resolution!! In my opinion Meta is more focused on maximizing profit than on genuinely caring for its customers or providing a fair resolution. A small discount or repurchases doesn’t seem like an appropriate response to a product flaw, especially when customers are expected to bear the cost of something that clearly seems to be a design issue.

Looks more like you were abusive to your Quest.

I have a Quest 3.
Wife has a Quest 3.
Daughter has a Quest 3.
Granddaughter has a Quest 3.
Best friend has a Quest 3.

We all use them 9-10 times a week for 1-3 hours each time. Some of the use is working out.

We have never broken any of them.

The arms just don't crack and fall off. It requires some pressure to break.

Always the left arm, breaking at that point.
There might some Quest 3 with production/material issues out there.

Not abusive at all, Just to clarify, the snap occurred while installing the new head strap, as its necessary to remove that piece to make the swap. I just wanted to make sure the details were clear.

Fixmyoculus.com reports this is the most common repair on the Quest 3/3s. The problem appears to be a design/materials flaw.

Keep after support, they should at least offer to swap your unit with a refurbished one.
