My meta quest is bricked. Totaly. I was playing the new game thrill of the fight 2 when i got a notification that popped up saying something close to "you lost your tracking". I tried exiting the game but my controllers were unresponsive. I turned it off and boom in the infinite loop it goes. Before anyone gives generic sugjestion i tried EVERYTHING i turned it off and on i factory reset it. I went onto metas own software update page and updated the headset to maybe unbrick it. Nothing worked. I do not have anything on my headset like rubber sleeve and stuff. And the support that i contacted said that they dont fix and deliver new parts to my country. I live in Slovenia. They basicly said that the problem that i can't solve and that i DIDN'T cause is over. They wont help me give me a refund or ship me new goggles. So im turning here in hopes that some tech freak knows how to maybe get into goggles itself and maybe delete some part of code or something and remake it? Long shot but im out of options. And meta doesnt care enough to warrent a problem that comes with basicly every unit i guess.
@SuperBangBus there's a thread about the 'meta logo boot loop of death' where the user is able to get his headset working again. I had a similar issue and disconnecting the battery from the PCB worked. It's strange that you both had issues during thrill of the fight, which could be that the problem is sweat related during a workout.
Unfortunetly that doesnt seem to work. Ive taken the quest 3 apart a bit disconected the battery and connected it back again. Same thing. I think its over..
I will try to contact the seller i got the quest from on ebay and maybe meta employers will send him new one since my country isnt supported. Otherwise im out of 500€+ for something i wasnt even guilty of..
