Meta quest 3s brand new WONT CHARGE!!!

So I just bought a meta quest 2 for my son and thought it was so cool that when I saved up enough I bought the meta quest 3s that way we could play together (only get to see him every other weekend) so I thought it would be something fun for us to do together where he’s at the age where they start to want to become more independent and mom isn’t so cool to just cuddle with anymore lol. I ran to GameStop right before they closed and purchased the metaquest3s brand new (not pre-owned!) and the manager went into the back and brought out a new, unopened box. I wanted to surprise my son in a couple weeks when he came over with the newer cooler version so I didn’t open the box right away and play it (not realizing GameStop ONLY GIVES 7 FREAKING DAYS TO RETURN?!?!!!) plus who ever would think a brand new gaming system that cost me just about $400 would have any kind of problem?!! Well when the box was opened it tells you to get the best optimization out of your battery you should plug it in and fully charge it, so I plugged it in and left it charging for about 5 hours. I stupidly just assumed it was fully charged by then and once I turned it on and started playing it the thing was so **bleep** cool I didn’t even think to look at the battery to see if it was at 100%. Once I started playing and tried one of the workout games I was almost 30 mins into the workout and it said the battery was low and about to shut off. Long story short, the thing won’t charge at all with the cord or even another c-cord, I’ve tried multiple outlets and different cords and nothing will charge the headset. And the P.O.S. Manager that sold me the game said 14 days was too long to exchange it because I wasn’t a pro member at gamestop!!! I wasn’t even trying to RETURN IT, I just wanted to EXCHANGE it for one that worked right, one that I paid top dollar for! Even tried to exchange it having my brother take it to the store with the receipt because HE IS A PRO MEMBER and they said no they couldn’t exchange it because it didn’t say on the receipt that a pro member account was used to purchase it!! Imagine that?! The audacity. So I feel like I’ve lost all faith in GameStop, metaquest, and buying any new kind of gaming system brand new right away before it’s been out for a while and all the bugs or kinks have been worked out. I’ve heard the 3s has had a bunch of complaints and I’ve never sent anything out to be replaced before what if they say they never got it and then I’m really screwed? Please help idk what to do??!!
