I am so sick and tired of the **bleep** PC experience quest has made, I am so **bleep**ing pissed I bought any games from your **bleep** app store and wish I had gone through steam or any other channel. When I try to log into meta quest link on my PC it just opens a browser then when I click login with my account which is already logged in and ready to go it just does nothing. I have disabled firewall and antivirus, I have cleared the cache of everything and made sure everything is updated. I have put exceptions in the host file I have done so many god **bleep** things but nothing moves this **bleep**ing login. **bleep** EVERYONE WHO WORKED ON QUEST LINK!

Hey there,
I understand the frustration when you have tried lots of troubleshooting steps but the issue remains persistent.
Can I ask that you check you have the following required oculus drivers installed on your machine:
If you are missing any of these please uninstall the quest link app and manually check to ensure no files are leftover as sometimes this can be the case, then finally reinstall again.
Please keep us updated on your situation!

First, I removed everything, including the %appdata%and then started with a fresh install making sure all the drivers listed above were there. This was all working before but I uninstalled the meta quest link app and after reinstalling it with the new stupid method of login. which is so insanely stupid I can't believe someone got paid to take us back in time to a **bleep**ter method of login. The problem is that everything you use to support this app, aka the diagnostic tools, must be after you've logged into the meta link desktop app. My problem is that when it sends it to a website I choose my login and it does nothing. Then after on my meta quest link desktop app I get this error. OVR40779122 PS this ticketing system reply system sucks! you cant resize it or do anything to make it easier to type in this box, great job again web dev team you are killing it!

Hey there, @clayfacevr!. Jumping in for @MetaMetalMonke!
It is possible as part of the login process on the browser that it is trying to validate the login through a pop-up window. If you have pop-ups blocked on your browser then this may cause an issue. Are you able to check to see if pop-ups have been disabled in your settings? If so, please enable these.
If that doesn't resolve things, are you able to try using a different browser to see if it lets you progress?
I can completely understand the frustration with the login process. I thank you for your patience while we look into this for you. If this doesn't work then please let me know and we can look at the next steps together 🙂

No popup is being blocked, ive tried it with a couple of different browsers including Chrome, firefox, and Explorer. I've turned off my antivirus and firewall, same results, once it hits chrome with this new method of login it will not go past that point. I have been unable to enjoy my quest 3 for a couple of months because of this horrible problem that wont let me access the games I've purchased in this awful app, I wish I bought everything on steam.

Thank you for letting me know. Are you able to try copying the authentication URL link and opening it on your mobile phone? I'm curious to see if it will behave any differently on another device 🤔

The link takes me to the meta app on my phone, it logs me in successfully. It is the desktop app that is having the problem where it does nothing when I try to log in so I can use my PC desktop to play better graphic games. This is the whole reason I bought this headset.

I was able to find a post from another user on a reddit thread that was encountering the same error message. Here is how they were able to get it fixed:
"Hey everyone, I figured out that I had a policy set that prevented applications from setting/configuring new firewall rules. If you have customized your Windows Firewall settings to this effect, you must temporarily disable those settings, or disable the firewall entirely from inside control panel or the new Settings app. Leave the Windows Firewall service in "Running" state, however. Oculus will then be able to configure its firewall rules and complete its setup. Hope this helps someone in the future.'
If this doesn't work, I can see another user mentioned that installing Quest Link on another disk solved their issue.

Lol cowards, yup just bury your problem and pat yourself on the back, yup you did such a great job not reading my problem before hand where I clearly stated firewall was not the issue, great job! Meta has hired people who have no clue how to support their own product, I've seen this issue everywhere and no answer in sight online, you clearly know this issue is happening but you all don't care.
