Meta quest plus issues

I can’t redeem my 6 months free because I am not old enough. I tried to see if my mom could do it but she could not redeem it for me. I don’t know what to do.

Hi @dropplets, and thanks for reaching out! We know having issues accessing content can really take the fun out of VR, so we'd be glad to lend a hand! Before we dive in here, we do want to let you know that Meta Quest+ is available only for ages 17+. Some games, apps, and subscriptions have their own specific age restrictions, which would cause this sort of issue. If your account does not meet that age restriction when attempting to redeem the subscription, the account will not be able to access Meta Quest+ until it ages out of the restriction. We highly suggest reading through the Meta Quest+ Trial Subscription Terms & Conditions for more information on that. Although not the most ideal, we're glad we could help get to the bottom of that for you. If you're ever in need of a helping hand in the future, don't hesitate to reach back out!

I read the terms and conditions and it says if I’m not old enough I can ask my parents to see if they can redeem it for me. They tried but it did not work.

You're correct, your parents should be able to redeem it from their personal accounts, but as previously stated Meta Quest+ is only available for ages 17 and older. Your account would not be able to access the content until you're of required age.You also mentioned that your parents were unable to redeem the 6 months either. May you verify that they are using their personal accounts and have them reach back out to us if they are still having issues redeeming Meta Quest+.

Hey I'm having problems redeeming my meta quest+ even though my mom has approved me playing on her account and practically gave me her account but every time I try and redeem it on the app or metea quest it kicks me out

Please also note that the creation or use of a standard Meta account by children under the age of 13 is in violation of the Meta Terms of Service and could result in the permanent deletion of the account. I’m having the same issue and my parent doesn’t know where to redeem it as it’s only offering the one month when I have access to the six month free trial but can’t redeem it as my account is under the age of 18. Where would they go to redeem the subscription?

Hi there, @ShayIsDaBest.21! We certainly love your excitement to join the fun, so we'd be happy to provide some insight into that Meta Quest+ promotion! As we let the community know previously, our customers must be 17 years of age or older in North America and 18 years of age or older in the rest of the world to subscribe to Meta Quest+. The only way a parent or guardian account can allow your account to use it is by purchasing Meta Quest+ and then sharing the titles with your account through App Sharing. All parental controls will still be in effect in this case. Otherwise, an account that does not meet the age requirement of that subscription will not be able to use it.
