Meta quest pro controlers won’t charge

I just went through the troubleshooting process. There’s no damage in my controllers, no damage in the charger, I did a full reboot for both controllers. Everything the forums was telling me to do.

What else can I try?

Hello there, @TheGobIin. Being able to use your controllers is a crucial part of the VR experience. Controllers are tools to make that experience as immersive as possible. With that being said, we can certainly do our best to get your controllers back in working order. Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting that you have already tried. We wanted to ask you a few questions to make sure we have a good handle on the issue.

  • Are any LED lights appearing or vibrations felt through the controllers?
  • When was the last time you were able to use your controllers successfully?

Thank you for working with us towards finding a solution. Our aim is to get you back in the game and your controllers running smoothly. We appreciate your time and hope to hear from you soon!

Yes! None of the helpful information that’s been provided has helped me in any way, any new ideas or troubleshooting?

Hey @TheGobIin! Thank you for getting back to us with this information. We see you have done a reboot of your controllers, but lets try a full factory reset of your controllers.

  1. Does the controller LED display any color?
  2. Try to factory reset the controller
    1. Right Controller: Hold A and Oculus buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white.
      1. Left Controller: Hold X and Menu buttons until the LED begins flashing red/white.
    2. Release the buttons immediately after the LED begins blinking red/white.
    3. Perform a manual pairing and check if controller LED would flash blue and white to signal pairing state.
  3. Once paired, controllers may take a while to update and stay unresponsive until they finish, and LED would be purple during the update.

Please let us know if you see any LED from your controller. We hope this helps, but reach out to us if it doesn't and we can explore the next available option!

Only the left one was able to, but still refuses to charge. The right one is only capable of blinking red. I got a new charger though and it’s coming in the morning, I’m hoping it’s just something to do with the charging port sticks? Maybe they’re bent, or they’re unable to reach the charge? But it’ll at least help with diagnosis if we find out that’s not the issue

Hey hey! Thank you for trying that out. Do let us know how it goes with the new charger as if you continue on having issues we will be more than happy to further assist you!

Absolute success! They’re finally charging, so it was for sure something to do with the charger rods of the old charger

Hey there, @TheGobIin! Glad to hear that the new charger was able to resolve this issue in your case. Should you need assistance in the future, please reach out and we will be happy to work with you!
