I bought my Quest 2 a year ago and it has turned faulty. The display has all horizontal and vertical lines along with dense pixels everywhere to a point the device is not usable and completely useless to me. I raised a ticket and spoke to the support staff Mr Simon and I was told my device is still under warranty but it is registered in Japan. And as they don't have service in India, the replacement can only be sent to Japan address, which obviously isn't a viable, feasible or sensible or even economical resolution to my problem. I would really request representative of meta here to bring some solution to this and add support to India.
This also raises two major problems for me
1- I never imagined my quest 2 to break this early, I was expecting it to last good few years at least before showing any bad signs, so I doubt the quality of material being used to manufacture it. I also handled it with complete care, never been reckless.
2- It also shattered my confidence in purchasing the new Quest 3 which I was really excited to gets my hands on. I can't afford a product to break so quickly and also have no support to it so the purchase would be just a gamble. I am hoping to get some help from someone here.
I am having a similar problem. where we need to Courier the meta with frieght cost more than the meta quest. Its really not at all worth it and Meta is a scam.
