Microphone doesn’t work in party chat but works everywhere else

I need help, my microphone doesn’t work in party chat, works quite literally everywhere else, like voice messages, in game, everything you could think of except the party chat. My friends have the same issue, and it just came out of nowhere, we were able to join parties without any issues before this. Here are the solutions I have tried:

1. Turning microphone on and off through quick settings

2. Resetting my headset (Power off, and reset buttons)

3. Muting and unmuting in call

4. Going to app chat, then back to party chat

5. Leaving the party call and rejoining

(These solutions have not worked, and it’s getting on my nerves as I can’t play with my friends. Please help.)

As the steps above have not worked and the microphone is working elsewhere it does not appear to be a device issue. It could be a party/privacy setting that is causing this. 

Can you confirm which device it is you are using and in the meantime you may want to visit this link here. That should give some helpful information on creating parties, let us know if this helps or not.

I’m using the Quest 2, pretty sure my friends are as well

Make sure you guys are on the V69 update.

If the issue is still persisting, we would recommend you to do a factory reset.
