we have never ever had a working mic on our oculus quest 2, it’s ruining the experience! my 11 year old cannot join in with games & conversations with friends! We have tried everything suggested here & on YouTube videos. The headset is not very old & only been used around 8-10 times and is like new so we know it’s not damaged. Can anyone please help?
Hello @Runningman13, We can definitely understand how frustrating it is when your microphone is not working properly and your little one can't join conversations with friends. Could you please follow a few steps that may fix the issue?
Make sure the microphone is clean and not obstructed. The microphone has 2 pinholes located a few inches apart, one on either side of the nose
Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may block the microphone (such as a third-party facial interface, etc.)
Test with multiple games/apps: If happening only in one game/app, check the game/app permission to make sure microphone is enabled
Reset Microphone: Settings > System > Sound > Toggle Microphone
Reboot the headset
