With the announcement of Meta Accounts, it looks like the system is improving. I have a Rift CV1 for which I have quite a catalog of titles in my Oculus Account on the PC app. I never linked it to a Facebook account because having to do that put me off getting a Quest 2.
So now that Meta Accounts are being rolled out, what will be the migration path from Oculus Account to Meta Account, taking across Rift titles?

I guess I may have posted this question too early and support don't yet know how this migration will work. Fingers crossed for an update soon.

Hmmm, so nothing yet, apart from in the Oculus desktop app, under Friends, it mentions needing a Meta account to connect to others and advises to "Go to www.meta.com/setup on mobile or desktop to get started".
Unfortunately this URL doesn't work and shows a blank page with the text "Sorry, this content isn't available right now".
Anyone found anything else about the Oculus to Meta migration path?

If you bother to read the current meta blog on all this you will see that this will be available later this month. If you have a current oculus account you should get an email when this comes into effect. Otherwise just continue to monitor this forum. There is no big hurry to do this with your cv1 since you have until the end of this year to complete this process.

Yeah, I hope you're right about that. And yes I had read the July 7th blog post, but found it more dealing with the migrations from a) Facebook to Meta for login and b) Oculus profiles to Meta Horizon profiles, the only mention of users in my situation I could see was in the para:
If you’re new to Meta VR devices or have previously merged your Oculus account with your Facebook account, you’ll need to create a Meta account and an accompanying Meta Horizon profile starting in August 2022. If you’ve been logging into your VR device with your Oculus account, you can continue to do so until January 1, 2023, at which point you’ll need to create a Meta account and Meta Horizon profile to continue using your Meta VR device.
So I would hope that means they flesh out the migration path for those users (e.g. me). So fingers crossed for something later this month. Cheers!

Jan 4 2023, four days late for making the migration from Oculus to Meta, but did it anyway. And it worked! Now I have all the games I paid for, as far back as 2016, all shown up in my new Meta account using my old Oculus profile info. ^.^
Personalty, I feel it should have all just staid as Oculus, and not had to have made such a change, but I am not the multi millionaire, with such an inner need to change such things for everyone, when he did. Despite telling everyone, that was not going to happen. O.o
But all is done now, and didn't have to join Facebook just to keep using my old Rift 1. So, that much is good.
