Hello everyone, i have a META QUEST 2, which i use somethimes to dispy 3D projects on a app called VR SKETCH, that last time i used it (march) everything was fine.
As a fact, i have two devices, on one i noticed that after i updated the system, only while i am mirroring (chromecast) with quite good conection, VR sketch starts to tilt, not the image mirrored to the tv, but the image onto the device, gets tilt and slow.
Surprisingly, on the other device, not updated, worked perfectly, i proceeded to update it, and the same problem appeared on the device. I guess is some kind of bug with the software and the newst updatge, is there anything i can do? i need to use it with some clients and i cannot afford these glitches :_

I have indeed followed your instructions and sent the report, no changes so far, also i discovered that the problem persists only while mirroring on Chromecast, specially displaying quite complex 3D models

Thanks for submitting the report. It is worth noting, that casting directly to a Chromecast device or TV is not fully supported by Meta, and may not work with some Chromecast devices or TVs.

I just wanted to add my "me too" on this issue. We are a company that do VR Experiences on location. For that we use a maximum of 20 Quest 2s (and about 5 Quest 3s). For one particular application, we need to stream from the Quest 2 to a tablet. Since all Quests use the same primary account, we can't have each Quest stream to it's own Meta Horizon app.
Some months back, we found an Android app that turns your tablet into a Chromecast receiver. When we tested it, it worked perfectly. We tested it on a few more tablets and encountered no problems. Casting was smooth and with hardly any lag. So we went ahead and ordered 20 tablets. One for each Quest.
Now we wished we never did.
Because not long after, an update on the Quest 2 messed up everything. Casting to the tablets (or any Chromecast device for that matter) no longer works as it should. As soon as we turn on casting, the image (inside the VR goggles) becomes very choppy and laggy. It makes the app/game unplayable. We tested several Chromecast devices. Tried different WiFi networks (different routers, different access points, 2.4GHz, 5.0GHz, Wifi6). Nothing made a difference.
And since rolling back to older firmware versions is not possible, we just wasted thousands of dollars on tablets.
Is Meta going to fix these problems? And please, "please be aware Chromecast is not fully supported" really isn't a satisfactory answer. It used to work perfectly and some update just broke this functionality.

hHave you try to cast with the app meta horizon? works fine on mine, but it was just a test, i ended up casting with the PC, a real mess because before with just the chromecast was fine but now i have to plug the pc, then cast the screen to the tv with HDMI or directly through chromecast and google chrome, in the end as you said, this update broke all this and that answer is not what i spected at all, conferming that this tecnology is not developed well enough to trust with on a daily labour.
