Moving floor

Took the leap got my quest 3 but beginning to hate it in a big way. Can anyone tell me how to stop games launching with me stuck in the air ? no matter how i set or reset the floor level or boundry the games start with the ground super low (below floor level). In mixed vr or normal vr the floor is in the correct place in my home world but i start a game and boom its gone wrong, ive reset floors and boundries and deleted room saves etc but games are becomming unplayable because of this. Any advice apreciated.

Hi @MopH3ad 🙂

I'm not sure, if this will help you too.....

Some users had that issue when "lying down" mode was enabled.....when they disabled it, all was good.

Hi, @MopH3ad! We understand that you want to justify upgrading to the Quest 3. Don't lose faith just yet as headset tracking and loss of the boundary typically stem from the environment. Consider the following to optimize your play space:

  • Playing environment is too bright, oversaturating the camera, or has interfering lights
    • Adjust the intensity of lights, try turning some lights off, reduce sun exposure or use curtains/blinders
  • Playing environment is too dark, preventing the tracking cameras working properly due to lack of lighting
    • Turn some light on, open curtains/blinders
  • Playing environment contains reflective surfaces, interfering with the tracking cameras
    • Cover the reflective surfaces while playing or play in a different location
  • Playing environment does not have enough contrast between objects or textures composing it
    • Play in a different location
  • Dirty tracking cameras

With the above addressed, try also removing any unsupported third-party accessories. Keep us posted afterwards as we're eager to help!

I will try this and post my findings, thank you for the advice.

none of the above help and this happens no matter what room im in or the lighting used and does the same thing day or night its very frustraigning. as mentions the floor is in the correct place and moves when the game starts and can somtimes take 30-40 mins to get it to work correctly.

@Smart_boi  found an unusual solution in that thread.

I had a very similar problem as you, and the fix for me was clearing history of the floor while being on a chair and doing so not in passthrough and not in any application also I have factory reset my headset maybe that could help too

As a heads up turning off the play when laying down function fixed my issue and I hand not had an issue since doing this. Thank you for this suggestion.

That are great news!
Some users helped this suggestion, for others the problem still persists.
Glad it worked for you @MopH3ad 😊
