Multiple Meta Quest Link Issues

Ngoyon

I have multiple issues with the Meta quest link software, as a developer I usually need to connect headsets, sometimes different ones.

I have the following issues :

Headset connection error

The error occur when connecting a headset, sometimes its not recognized with the computer so it needs to be disconnected and reconnected. The issue is when disconnecting and reconnecting the headset, the computer seems to partially recognize the headset and make an error with the headset having an error, nothing can be done, no button is working, the only thing is to reinstall the software...

This error happen almost daily to me.

Old headset connection cannot be removed

As the title says, sometimes all devices can't be removed by the button remove device... Which is the point of the button...

No worries! We appreciate you letting us know that this computer is provided by your university. It's likely the case that there are restrictions and security measures placed by your school's IT department, that could be contributing to this issue, beyond being unable to initiate Safe Mode. Even if the computer's hardware specs are technically compatible with our Quest Link app's requirements, these security measures may impede full functionality.

Well i agree, maybe it could be nice to have some update for university, either way to have some warning in case some perms are not properly set. Or either way an update that require the needs of starting the app in administrator and having it fixed when the app is started as administrator.

Sorry for the late response, I am not able to do these steps because I am on a University Computer and the Reboot in safemode is not possible.

Hi, for the context, I am on a University computer, so I don't have all possibilities such as connected as a local administrator or things like this... But i can still start an app as administrator if needed.

The issue, when connected with my Meta Quest 2 to the computer, I start the Quest Link.
But when i try to show the monitor (not a specific app) I have a black screen. Also, when showing a specific app, I can't interact it in the headset, I've seen some video where people could do this.

I've tried to search online and seems some people saying I should set the app to use the GPU instead of the integrated graphic chip in the CPU, its done but no changes. Other people told to use a local administrator but I don't have access to this, even loading the app as administrator does
