I have a new (2 week old) Meta Quest 3 512GB, fully updated to V76.8 (April 8th) that is showing various issues.
The profile selection screen is always visible.
1. Sometimes (mostly) when starting the headset from power off it just launches to a black screen with the Horizon Central portal (if that's what it is called) drawn in white text in an oval - literally everything else is black. Sometimes the display turns on in passthrough mode with nothing visible being overlaid.
2. Selecting the second profile will show an android-ish error saying: "Meta Calling has stopped working" and shows two options - "App info" and "Close App"
3. Oculus Gallery and Oculus Video will not load, both silently seem to load pushing other pages on the home screen aside, but nothing appears and a few seconds later they seem to vanish/exit.
This has made the whole experience very unreliable, frustrating, and almost impossible to use for my non-technical partner.
* Cleared and redefined boundaries, both stationary and room-scale.
* Uninstalled Oculus Gallery/Video, updated them, etc.
Something strange is happening. Everything else seems to run fine otherwise, it's just these issues, and the unreliability of the home screen especially, making the device difficult to use.
I did wonder if something had gone wrong during the latest update or a component in the OS or firmware has become corrupt, but I don't know how to force reinstall to the same version
