My Instagram account is hacked using Meta horizon account.

The hacker has linked his meta horizon account to my Instagram and taken full admin control of shared accounts. I have no more details than just the mail address [REDACTED] of the meta horizon user. This has become an quite common issue from meta and I hope you have solution for this Also the username of Meta horizon showing in my insta is Vijayml, who currenhas access to my instagram account. Could you please temporarily/permanently unlink so that i can relink it with my own meta account. Also I am unable to reply to the private messages in the community forum of metaquest

I am having the same problem ever since I got my Instagram back yesterday. I am not able to remove the extra Meta account.

Unfortunately I'm not very good with technology and I think I am not able to follow the above steps you mentioned.

When I try to remove any existing account from my account center, it takes me to that Meta account and ask me to enter password which is assigned to some weird email address for which I have no access.

Would you kindly describe in simple points so I can follow the steps?
I would highly appreciate your help.

I'm having the same issue, but when I try to remove the account it asks me for the security code that I don't posess. WTF this, Facebook and Instagram has ZERO support, and also Meta.

I have a similar problem to the original poster. I tried your solution, added a new fb account, but when I want to remove my instagram, it says I need to enter a password which is assigned to the hackers e-mail. Do you have any idea why this happens?

The same issue recently happened to me.

A hacker linked a fraudulent Meta Horizon account to my two-step authentication process on Instagram, severely compromising my account. As a result, I am unable to remove this unauthorized account, and the hacker still has access to my Instagram, leaving me powerless to resolve the situation on my own.

I have reached out to both Instagram and Meta multiple times, but I have not received any response to my emails. This lack of support is extremely frustrating, especially as the hacker has not only stolen my personal data to create a fake Meta Horizon account but also maintains control over my Instagram account.

I urgently need assistance to resolve this matter.
