Hey there @brianna.74597,

Don't worry, we'd love to help you with this and get you back to enjoying the world of VR as soon as possible!

Would you mind answering a few questions to help us understand the problem better?

What model of Oculus device are you using?

It sounds like you're having problems with the screen. Can you describe the glitches you are seeing?

One thing we would suggest is charging your headset for at least 2 hours. Since you haven't used it in a year, it's possible the battery is drained.

hi so I let it charge for about 3 hours and there are three little dots in the middle of the screen it looks like it trying to load but it's been like that for an hour and every time I turn my head the screen goes black

Okay, thanks for confirming you've charged the device. Can you tell us the color of the LED on the headset?

It's powering on, so it sounds like it could either be an issue with the display or it could be stuck in a boot loop.

Would you mind trying these steps to hard reboot the headset display?

  1. Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect boot (such as external battery packs, accessories that plug into the USB-C port, etc.)
  2. Hard Reboot the headset
    1. Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound
    2. If the boot-up sound is not heard:
      1. Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
      2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
      3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

I did it and it says no command

and now it has a purple light

Thanks for trying that and updating us on the LED color. Would you mind sending us a private message so that we can investigate further?
